The 98 Mauser
also known as the "Large Ring Mauser" has
been around since well before you were born. In these many years a lot of
add-ons have become available.
The action above is fitted with
a B-Square 15010 one-piece scope base. This base accepts Weaver style ring and
costs about $10. Peeking out of the floorplate is a B-Square kwik-release push button, about $8, requires only a hacksaw
to install. (But the hacksaw needs two blades!) A BOLD trigger is fitted, this
one has a safety, $40: without the safety, $35. Note the location of the
trigger finger piece, nicely to the rear.
