The way the Swedish Arsenal did it!!!

I thought the drill and solder method of getting the bolt handle out if the way (Mosin-Nagant or Mauser) was my idea. But while browsing Gunbroker I ran across these photos:

This is a Swedish M-96 converted into a competition rifle in a Swede Arsenal. Thousands were converted.

The bolt handle was removed, the stub was drilled and a rod was inserted and soldered.

The end was threaded and a plastic knob screwed on.

As I said before, it takes some getting used to J .

Notice the over-sized wood stock and the wood added to the floor plate.

Well, I guess their really is nothing new under the sun!!!
