F-Class Match No. Three
Western PA Cal. 30 League
June 8, 2003
It was a perfect day for shooting, just enough wind to make things interesting. We had 26 Shooters turn out, twenty-five shot (one forgot to bring ammo - I'm not kidding). MORE IMPORTANT !!, we had 11 first-time (to this match) shooters***. (Check out Chris Sebal's second string score, he tied for second place in this string of fire! This was his first match)
Scores were as follows:
A Stage is a 30-minute time period when a shooter can fire unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for score. Maximum score per Stage is 200; maximum for the Match is 400.
25 shooters competed in this match:

This is "Chip" Sherry with a borrowed .223.
This match required three "relays", that is three shooters were assigned to each target. One was shooting, one was scoring and one was "in-the-pits", working the targets. This is the first relay shooting, Chris Sebal is nearest, shooting. Next is Doug Fye, shooting and Allen Wagner (seated, in the yellow shirt) scoring for Doug. Beyond Doug is Tom Schall, shooting with Bud Vermier scoring for him. After shooting, the shooters will go to the pits, the scorers will become shooters, and the guys/gals in the pits will turn into scorers.
This is relay two. Allen has moved into the shooting spot, while Tom Schall has gone to the pits and Marty McDonnell, who was in the pits, has come to the line to score. Bud Vermire discovered he had no ammo, so his spot is empty, soon to be filled by me. I had not intended to shoot, but why pass up the empty spot?
And now we've come near full circle, with Marty McDonnel shooting, Doug Fye scoring, and Allen in the pits.
This is Bill Hallam, a displaced Australian, shooting a custom Stolle actioned rifle in 6.5mm x 284.
