F-Class Match No. Two
Western PA Cal. 30 League
May 10, 2003
The day started off wet, following a stormy night.
We are all waiting for the rain to clear, and then started the match 45 minutes too soon, a downpour caught the first shooters.
But we finally started.
Scores were as follows:
A Stage is a 30-minute time period when a shooter can fire unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for score. Maximum score per Stage is 200; maximum for the Match is 400.
11 shooters completed the match, Shooters in the First Relay, First Stage*** shot in a downpour, a real gully washer, and some of the scores reflect this.

OK some pictures: (thanks to my Wife, Sandra)
The first relay; Mike Rodich, nearest, then Martin McDonnell, Matt Dienes, an unidentified shooter doing some sighting, Ron Yingling, and on the far end Tom Ferraro:
A view of Relay 1 from the other end, including the Range Officer (and Wife).
This is the second relay, nearest is Tim Sherry, then his brother, Chip, and Jeff Farmerie, Ben Irvin , Dave Fischer, and at the far end, Bill Bierbower.
This is Relay 2, from the other end, nearest is Bill Bierbower.
This is Matt Dienes, the high scorer. Although he shot in the first Relay, the rain didn't bother HIM! I think the little "dots" on his barrel are magnets used to hold a heat shield (not on there now).
BUT, don't think you need this kind of stuff to shoot in these matches!, note that some shooters were using ; an M1 Garand (WW2 service rifle), an AR15, and a Tikka "Hunter", all with Iron Sights!
