A new
shooting competition has come to Central PA !!!!!!!!!!
The Western
PA .30 Cal League is hosting F-Class (Tactical / Sniper Style)
matches at their range in Reade Twp. The League will host 8 matches - see dates
below.
A
match will consist of a two 30 minute time periods
during which time(s) a competitor will fire as many sighting shots as needed
followed by twenty shots for score. Each shot could be worth 10 points for a
possible total score of 400. All shots will be fired from the 600 yard line !!!
ANY rifle 8MM caliber or less (No Boss, No muzzle brakes), 17.5 pounds max., with ANY sight
(Scope or Iron), supported at the front only by ANY means (sandbag or Bi-pod, etc).
So dig
out that hunting rifle or what-have-you, bring about 50 rounds of ammo and a
spotting scope or binoculars, and a mat or scrap of carpet and have at it.
THE
FINE PRINT
The
entry fee is $10. Cash prizes may be given based upon the number of
competitors. League membership is $25 per year. You will be permitted to fire
in one match as a non-member All competitors will be required to score for one
other competitor and to "pull targets" for one or two other
competitor(s).
For good Food, evenings, check out the Triangle
Inn, in Janesville. From the range, follow
the signs toward Houtzdale, the Inn is at the intersection of Rts. 253, 453 and 729, on the corner. The Inn opens at 4 PM
and although a Bar, wives and children should be very comfortable.
Matches Start at 9:00 AM,
sign-up starts at 8:00 AM
