AR Style Bolt Release Extension

For Sale - $25 ea. - Delivered

If you want to see how these are made - here's the link

The extension is very easy to install. First, make sure the rifle is SAFE. The bolt must be locked back, and the chamber must be empty.

Make sure that the small set-screw is in the threaded hole at the big end. If you want to use the Nylon finger pad, screw it into the lower hole a little more than half way.

Slide the extension over the bolt stop/release. (You may have to back-out the set-screw a little) Slide it fully down and tighten the set-screw using the included hex key. If your not using the Nylon finger pad, your done!

If you are using the pad, screw it in-and-out until it feels right for you, then remove the exrension and screw the Nylon pad an additional TWO TURNS INWARD (move the head of the bolt closer to the extension).

Using wire cutters, cut-off the excess threads, taking care TO MANGLE THE THREADS, the un-screw the pad two turns, moving it back to the "right" position, and moving the "mangled" threads into the extension. This will keep the Nylon pad/bolt in place.

If you want a little more security, some gasket cement, bathtub caulk, etc. on the threads of the set-screw and Nylon bolt will help keep everything in place.
