This kit includes some of the pieces needed to relocate the bolt handle of the M-N rifle as shown here. 

I have for sale the 5/16-inch Grade 8 bolt and two styles of plastic knobs.

These are the M-N items. Shown are: two 5/16-inch Grade 8 bolts a little longer than 6-inches; two round balls 1-inch in diameter with 5/16-inch threaded brass inserts; two pear shaped knobs with a 5/16 plain hole; a modified M-N bolt; and the knob taken off the M-N bolt. The bolts are black and lightly oiled, with a little sand paper they shine right up.

Now a word about threaded v/s unthreaded. The M-N Ball Kit comes with a threaded ball that can be screwed onto the threads of the bolt. The threads need trimmed a little, or they will show. The M-N Pear Kit comes with a plain hole that accepts the threads or the body of the bolt. The M-N Pear Kit requires that the knob be glued or epoxied in place!

You will need:

A propane torch, some low-temp silver solder and flux, a drill motor (drill press is better), some cutting oil, file and/or grinding wheel, a hacksaw, a center punch and hammer. For the M-N Pear Kit you will need some glue or epoxy
