AN EXTREMLY LIGHT AR STYLE MATCH RIFLE

I was asked about using a globe sight on an AR style rifle. This can be done, but the height of the globe front must match the original front. This rifle also had a threaded barrel end, so I clamped the sight base to the threaded area.

The base is an aluminum block slotted, drilled and tapped so as to form a clamp. The globe on top is a Mid Thompson, about $40.

The old front was removed with a saw and the gas block was retained. This rifle has a free floating stock, but the AR style stock would work as well.
